Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor LeMaster.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My start was 15 years ago, fresh out of college. I began in the business working for Mike Cagle and with Bill Archer, both who I’m partners with at Inroads Realty today. We have been together at several different firms, either through a merger or acquisition. We’ve learned a lot about what to do and not to do when running a successful real estate company. Our history together has fostered a common vision and culture for what Inroads Realty is and will become.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a completely smooth process. There are different challenges that arise on a daily and weekly basis just from being a new company. However, Inroads has been around for a little over 18 months and hopefully most of the kinks have been ironed out. One thing that was never a challenge was convincing our clients to stay with us throughout this new endeavor. We were fortunate that our years of consistent service to our clients transcended whatever company we were with and they stuck with us.
Inroads Realty – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Inroads Realty is a commercial real estate firm specializing in the brokerage of retail property assets. We lease, manage and provide investments sales services for developers and owners of shopping centers throughout Texas and some neighboring states. We are particularly well versed in what I call “neighborhood retail”. I firmly believe the neighborhood shopping center, which we visit every day near our homes, are the future and strength behind the retail property segment. We have a keen understanding of the intricacies of leasing, managing, buying and selling these types of properties.
I really believe our company culture sets us apart from others. We are a family and team oriented firm. That’s how we approach our business. We surely have eyes on growth but we want to make sure we do it in the right way with the right people.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
January 2, 2016 when Inroads Realty officially opened.
